Why Do Online Yoga / Pilates Classes?

The internet is full of at home practices, on demand yoga, Pilates, barre, fitness classes all at the touch of a button. So why add another?

Well, for me, what started when I was pregnant during lockdown & wanted to offer a chance for people to feel connected, what the world was everything but. Since then I have let it tick over, adding new monthly practices & shorter wellbeing videos, but I realised, we still crave that sense of connection & so many of us struggle to allocate time to get to a class, or even know where to start

What are the benefits of an at home practice?

Well, many. Firstly, its the flexibility. The chance to grab a quick 20 minutes to suit what you need, right now. Be it a quick blast to get you out of a mental funk, a meditation to calm the nervous system, or a practice to loosen off after a long day at work. The aim is we offer something to meet your varying needs. Our video platform, Instabook, enables you to search by category, key word or even select a specific guide from our wonderful team at Flow Studio

The next benefit is variety. The ability to take a 20 minute barre class, a full length yoga or a quick blast of Pilates. Maybe even a try at boxing without having to leave your home. OR wait, the next benefit, your garden. Yes, because either on your phone, computer or tablet, you can take us anywhere with you

It’s also a great way of either taking time to pause at home & carve out 5-10 minutes to yourself, often overlooked but vital in our busy lives to just press reset & reconnect the mind-body with some movement & breathing, but also to even involve those around you, maybe inspiring your small people with some of our family practices, or helping your partner to do some gentle yoga if they have a bad back, everyone in the family can benefit from the Flow Connected membership

So why Flow Connected?

Well, having an established in person studio in Torquay means we can offer you that sense of connection to a community. Some of the classes are even filmed at the studio & we add more & more of our guides amazing offerings to Flow Connected each month. This means that you get the benefit from enjoying a variety of classes, the best way to support your body, but still with a sense of connection rather than just someone online sharing a class

We really encourage you to reach out with ideas, recommendations or requests so we can tailor the classes to suit you. We pride ourselves on having a few skills up our sleeves, from physio to meditation, lifestyle to hobbies, so we like to challenge ourselves in meeting your needs - be it creating a Pilates for fishing video or a yoga for goat herding, we will do our best

We also have a wonderful USP of being physio led, meaning our roots in in awareness of healthy bodies & healthy minds. We have specific physio tips & tools which we are growing each month. We of course can’t offer specific advice, but so often injuries can be impacted hugely with paying attention to moving well & listening to the body

What do you offer?

Flow Connected has hundreds of videos, ranging from quick 5 minutes to full length practices. Each month we add 4 new practices, calm, energy & everyday yoga plus a Pilates & a meditation. Alongside this there is a Wellbeing Library which we are always adding to & you can quickly access practices to suit you with our handy categories, such as Sweat, Morning, Post Natal, Menopause, Sport-Specific & Beginners. We also share our Flow Studio playlist plus plant based recipes for you to enjoy alongside building a consistent practice

What are the details?

Flow Connected is £15 (thats 50p per day!) & is a rolling monthly subscription (meaning the month starts when you sign up & carries over a month later). You can sign up to receive a free 14 day trial & if at any point you wish to cancel, your membership will cease at the end of your month, meaning you can relax & make the most of building a consistent practice
