5 Reasons to Develop an Online Practice

Hold on Katie, are we really dragging out these Zoom days? Well, in all honesty I very much lost the love for online offerings & still feel shudders at the thought of Zooming our way through 2020, but recently I have been reflecting on the value available from at at home practice & am really appreciating the benefits of this consistency & accessibility for myself so wanted to share more about why we can really benefit from online classes

  1. ACCESSIBILITY

    • Nowadays technology can definitely be our friend when it comes to being able to be supported with a movement practice. For example, Flow Connected works perfectly whether you view the videos on mobile, tablet or desktop, meaning you you’ve got opportunity at your fingertips, whether you need some meditation to build calm whilst out & about, a 5 minute blast to shake off some tension whilst waiting for the pasta to boil or 10 minutes to unravel the day whilst on your bed - online classes are perfect at offering being available to you just when you need them.

  2. VALUE FOR MONEY

    • Let’s be honest, going to classes can add up. As an ‘in person’ studio owner, the last few years have been tough to keep costs down for our local community, we never want to be a studio that isn’t affordable, but we know that finances can be a barrier to frequency of classes. Online has so many benefits to being able to access the same amazing Flow Studio guides, but right from the comfort of your own home, as often as you like. You don’t even need to buy a yoga mat, just an area to move safely (those lampshades are everywhere!) & between you & me, nobody would know if you took a class in your pyjamas - perfect!

  3. CONSISTENCY

    • This ties in with accessibility, by having online classes at your fingertips you have plenty of opportunity to get into the habit of using the ease of taking a class & therefore developing a consistent habit of moving, whether that’s a punchy energy practice or a calming flow, whatever you’re doing, they’re votes that count towards a healthier version of you in 6 months time

  4. VARIETY

    • A big bonus of online classes is the fact that you can access a huge range of movement practices, from breathworks to boxing. Accessing this variety is one of the healthiest ways to support your body (and mind), building strength, flexibility & fitness right from the comfort of your home. It enables you to adapt to any curve balls of life, if you’ve had a tough day & need a calm yoga practice or equally you may find you need to blast some fitness, you get to choose what meets your needs in that moment

  5. SELF

    • Self-love, self-confidence & self-discipline… An online practice can be a really powerful tool for learning to develop your relationship with yourself. We often say that we ‘need’ a class to commit, but in reality we don’t, we just allow a class to make us more accountable, but committing to showing up for yourself & trusting that you can commit to being in the process of living by your values can be a hugely powerful tool in developing your self-confidence & connection. It takes practice in committing to doing something that nobody may ever see, but the extra dimension of focussing purely on you, for you is a skill that will transfer into many other positive experiences

So, if you’re tempted by the benefits of developing an online practice, we offer a free 14 day trial to Flow Connected - with hundreds of practices at your fingertips
