What a wonderful afternoon spent making some beautiful festive wreaths πŸŽ„πŸ’• there was the smell of mulled spices in the air, Christmas songs in the radio, mince pies in our bellies & a good sprinkling of Christmas cheer. Thank you Team Flow for being so wonderful!

Fancy creating your own masterpiece?
Yes, masterpiece! Strong word I know but I have every faith in your creativity & artistic flair - I am so excited to see all your wreaths come to life & just wanted to send a quick email to say we have some spaces left for this Saturday 10am and next Wednesday 11th at 6pm.
We are going to be doing the workshop at my house, (I will email the address to those booked in the day before), as I wanted to make it feel extra special, cosy and festive, so we will have festive songs, mulled wine & mince pies, spaniels snoozing by the fire & no doubt cats helping supervise your handiwork.

I will guide you through how to make it then give you some tips and support as you create your wreath, we will have plenty of time to create, chat and enjoy some festive spirit together.

It is Β£30 each including drinks and mince pies, and we have focussed on the most sustainable sources for our wreaths for items we have purchased and will also be foraging locally for some extra special treats!

It's not about exercises.
We need to stop telling people to exercise to lose weight/tone up etc. what & how we eat has such a big influence on our physical (and mental) being, we need to start seeing moving our bodies as an integral way to take care of ourselves rather than to balance out other areas of our lives.

We have a huge catalogue movement available to us, yet if we put it in the box of 'exercise' we suddenly cut out such a big portion of potential movement which will keep us healthy, strong &connected.

We sit a lot, it's our modern lifestyle, but by trying to counter that with a few core exercises, lying down or in a straight line, when we spend so little time on our feet doesn't make sense when you think how our bodies are designed... if we want it to work well, we need to nourish it. Move it not exercise it. Noticing yourself tense with your left shoulder when you stand on one leg is more useful than 10,000 sit ups. Being able to work out how to breathe and move from one leg to another slowly is more useful that 500 burpees.

We are a little different at Flow, yes of course we could whip out a load of 'exercise' classes that we could sell you on with promises of 'burning fat' and 'toning your core'. But we need a strong foot to support that strong core, we need a positive attitude to food to chose to eat in a mindful way. We need to accept our bodies as a product of our lifestyle and chose to make changes where necessary but also embrace our differences and shapes/sizes as they are.

As a business, we will continue to speak quietly, consistently & always honestly about what we feel is the best possible way of supporting our community.
Feel proud of how you are approaching movement, how you are doing things that buck the commercial trend but offer you a greater wellbeing. Bring a friend, share a post, prioritise coming over life chores that will always be there to get in the way. Don't ruminate about whether to come, just come. Let us take care of you, submit yourself to an hour of being guided to healthy movement, then take that feeling and let it filter through your day, your friends & family πŸ’•
