New for 2014, Flow is introducing sport-specific workshops, to ensure you can really get the most benefit from Pilates.
The workshops area suited to those new to Pilates as well as those who have experience practicing Pilates.
The cycle-specific workshop is designed to help improve your cycling, through increasing flexibility, body awareness and core strength. Pilates compliments cycling well, offering an alternative training method which can help reduce injury and increase efficiency of cycling.
The workshop will last 3 hours and will include refreshments. Cost is £35 per person and will include handouts and any email support required following the workshop.
We will start the session with an introduction to the Pilates ‘Key Elements’. This will be followed by a workshop, discussing and working through typical cycle related problems and injuries. As a Chartered Physiotherapist, I will also invite people to email in advance any specific problems they have which they would like to be included within the workshop, giving personalised advice on how you might manage the problem.
Following a refreshment break, we will carry out a Pilates class, which will be tailored to cycling and provide an opportunity to incorporate the newly-acquired techniques and knowledge.
